Several years ago, dance studio director Emily Hackworth amazingly conquered a serious health challenge. This success -- along with the encouragement of her family and friends – inspired her to return to dancing as a dance studio owner and instructor.
She took the reins of Renee Oshiro’s dance studio (formerly the X-Factor Dance Studio) and re-named it XStatic because of the overwhelming happiness and joyful excitement she felt both personally for the many students who shared her love of dance.
XStatic Dance Studio immediately became a nurturing home for dancers from children to adults and from beginner to advanced levels.
The small studio atmosphere and supportive environment enables all dancers to takeaway technique, discipline, confidence, coordination, physical/emotional well-being, and friendship.
Parents of younger dancers love being able to watch their child progress during classes in the open-spaced environment.
There’s also the excitement and sense of accomplishment at end-of-semester performances at Ala Moana Shopping Center and other venues. Students in each class showcase jazz and hip hop performances.
All classes are held on Saturdays.
X-Static is a dance studio that focuses on creating a family-friendly professional environment where everyone is welcome. We’d love for you to join us!
Dancing since the age of 13, Emily loves sharing her passion for dance. In addition to XStatic Dance Studio, she danced, taught, and was the Admin at Arthur Murray Dance Center, and has found a love for Ballroom and Latin Ballroom.
She has danced with The Movement Center and N2dance, and was a part of the administration faculty at X-Factor Dance Studio.
Emily is also one of the founders of Dancers Unlimited Hawaii. She continues to support and take workshops and attend events for National Dancers Week.
Becca began her dance career at the age of three with Paradise Star Dance Studio. In 2004, she joined the Honolulu Dance Company and has trained in multiple styles of dance including jazz, hip hop, ballet, pointe, modern, and contemporary.
She is currently on staff with Honolulu Dance Co. and in the Professional Division. She is also a part of Boogie Down Productions Company and staff.
Becca has had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Jia Huang, Vihn Nguyen, Doug Caldwell, Kim Mcswain, Neil Shwartz, and others. She also was chosen as a JUMP V.I.P. winner in both 2010 and 2011. Dance has really become a huge part of her life and hopes to take it further in her career. And as she loves to quote, "Live. Love. Dance."
